L’expressionnisme revendiqu\u00e9 par l’\u00e9cole allemande au d\u00e9but du XX\u00e8me si\u00e8cle n’est pas un courant artistique organis\u00e9.
On caract\u00e9rise l’expressionnisme par la volont\u00e9 des artistes de cr\u00e9er un choc visuel, par la violence, l’insolite ou la surprise, aussi par le go\u00fbt des couleurs vives et arbitraires.
Le Cri<\/a><\/em>, c\u00e9l\u00e8bre tableau du peintre norv\u00e9gien Edvard Munch<\/a> (incarnation parfaite de l’expressionnisme dans sa version tragique) exprime cette anxi\u00e9t\u00e9, cette peur, ce d\u00e9sespoir… et r\u00e9v\u00e8le le regard que les artistes portent sur le monde \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque.
Il existe bien en France un expressionnisme ou un courant dit “Fauvisme<\/a>” et des peintes comme H. Matisse<\/a>, M. de Vlaminck<\/a>, A. Derain<\/a>, entre autres.
Le nom de “fauves” leur fut donn\u00e9 par d\u00e9nigrement en raison de l’expressivit\u00e9 de leurs couleurs, leur outrance, leur exub\u00e9rance chromatique. Ces peintres feront d’ailleurs scandale au Salon d’Automne<\/a> de 1905.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le courant expressionniste constitue le point d’aboutissement de l’art figuratif, et dans le m\u00eame temps une tendance submerge peu \u00e0 peu la sc\u00e8ne artistique… l’art abstrait (pr\u00e9dit par Kandinsky<\/a>), dont l’expressionnisme a pr\u00e9par\u00e9 sa r\u00e9volution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je suis tr\u00e8s heureux de pr\u00e9senter cette section d’artistes de talent, s’inscrivant r\u00e9solument dans la lign\u00e9e des pr\u00e9curseurs du mouvement expressionniste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
